IBM Happenings: September 2006

The month of September at IBM was filled with a slew of announcements in hardware, software, services, acquisitions, and corporate initiatives. I am particularly excited about IBM’s plans to build Cell Broadband Engine supercomputer. The revolutionary supercomputer, capable of a peak performance of over 1.6 petaflops, will be installed at the Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory.
